Vinišće
Vinišće is a small fisherman place founded in 1272. and counts 850 inhabitants. It got its name after vineyards which were planted everywhere around. Next to fishing and agriculture, tourism becomes the most important economic branch, especially during July and August. Besides local people, houses in this area are mostly owned by the people living in towns, who use this bay as a getaway from everyday stress for weekends.
The deep bay is recognized by sailors who use it as a cover from the sea and wind, which was the perfect reason to build a small marina for sailing yachts, making sunset view of the bay even more beautiful than it is! Nature is intact, the sea is crystal clear, and the area is perfect for surfing, swimming, and diving.
Walking by the sea along the entire bay you can find restaurants and pizzerias offering exquisite Mediterranean food, produced in the area. Also, if you are buying fish and groceries in a local store, you can be sure you are buying homemade natural vegetables and fresh fish!
Vinišće has a great bike track and hiking roads, which can make every animal lover interested.
Entire Vinišće bay is one big beach, and you can choose whichever place you like to swim, choosing between sand, gravel, man-made and stone beaches. Right in front of the house, there is half nature, half man-made beach, which is perfect for anyone.
Those who prefer gravel beaches can use one which is in the middle of the bay, 3 min walk from the house. There is no traffic so it is convenient and safe for families with children.
Closest important buildings that you might be interested in are restaurants and shops. There are several restaurants and pizzerias around the bay, offering delicious Mediterranean food. Shop for groceries is 100 meters away from the apartment, and most of the food sold there is completely natural, grown by local people. Also, since Vinišće is an old fisherman place, there is always fresh fish available!
